As part of the Amwaj Floating City Channel Inspection project, the condition of the channel wall required assessment. The underwater sheet pile was videoed and photographed by Jackelyn Wren, Senior Environmental Specialist and Paige Leresche, Junior Environmental Consultant at ByrneLooby in Bahrain. At the same time, Project Engineer, Lerika Eigelaar guided the survey and assessed the concrete capping, recorded all observations, and carried much-needed refreshments aboard her paddleboard.

The assessment of the 4.3km of channel wall took place over two days. In total, twelve hours was spent underwater at a temperature of 36°c. Although it was a physically draining two days, the completion of the survey was on schedule. It became the perfect way to celebrate PADI Women's Dive Day, which happened to fall on the same weekend as International Women In Engineering Day.
