The Church Street restoration scheme, involved our team of Conservation experts at Ayesa in London. The existing building was an old timber frame construction, that was extremely structurally unsafe. The building had rolled and was close to falling down. The Church Street building required temporary propping with large steel columns and ties, to stabilise it in a temporary state. This allowed for the safe installation of the permanent structural steels and flooring membrane. The Church Street restoration project was not only shortlisted for the 2012 'RICS Awards for Building Conservation in the West Midlands Region' but also, was the Winner of the West of England' LABC Building Excellence Awards for Best Small Housing Development'.
